Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. Growing up she was influenced by classical music, boleros and the classic romantic, ranchero and romance ballads. Ana loves tangos. Also, she loves operas as well as any dramatic performance. Her mother taught her to sing, but she began more intensive training in vocals with Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when he was a renowned Mexican opera singer and tenor. The musical training continued with the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later in the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. She sang throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities as a young scholar and professional. In 2000 she moved back to America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then, in 2007, she returned to her home in southern California. She's a regular solo performer at events, private parties and other occasions and performs the traditional Latin American Music. The love she has for performing, music, as well as the arts keeps active in community projects for both an artist as well as a instructor. Ana was a former participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands (as well being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana hopes that with her performance of Latin American traditional songs, that she will instill a passion, particularly for the young generation to keep this tradition in the present.
